Thank you, thank you for assembling and sending this wonderful site. I feel like I just went on vacation with you to Jakarta--which I would much prefer rather than to visit, say, relatively tame Hawaii. When I saw the documentary on Krakatoa I immediately thought of you. Yes, you are in the proximity of volcanic devistation should it blow. My friend, the late Thais Bullard, was the daughter to the world famous volcanologist, Fred Bullard. Too bad I never got to meet him.
I saw another recent documentary about a mega slide that could unlease a monumental tsunami, the likes of which have never been seen in recorded history, but for which there is evidence in the past--with waves a hundred feet high. I'm sending this post on to our mutual friend from our days as students at UT, Dwayne Holman. He'll love seeing you, too.
